♦♦ Extra Care Instructions: After use, wash the pan in hot water with a non-scratch sponge while it is warm. If you scrub it with detergent, it will wash away the “seasoning” (layers of oil baked into the pan). Dry the pan thoroughly after washing. Then heat it over slow to medium heat for a few minutes to allow any remaining moisture to evaporate. Afterward, “re-season” the pan by applying a thin coat of oil before storing it.
♦ This high quality tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette) iron frying pan from Kyoto Katsugu is a pan that will “grow with you”. Made from iron with high-level heat treatment at 700 ℃, it is rust-resistant and can be used over high heat. It is light weight and yet retains the heat capacity and strength required for cooking.
♦ Since it has already been finished with “oiling”, it can be used immediately. The more you use it, the more oil it absorbs, the frying pan will become less likely to stick and easier to use. The handle made of oak is very hard and resistant to moisture, making it durable and easy to maintain.
