Cooking Instructions

1 . Add the dried udon noodles to a large pot with at least 2 liters of boiling water.

2 . Stir occasionally,  adding a splash of cold water midway through boiling to help cook the noodles evenly and prevent them from becoming gummy.

3 . Check the noodles periodically to prevent overcooking. The entire process should take approximately 11 to 13 minutes.

4 . For optimal results, the noodles should be tender while retaining a slight chewiness.

5 . When the noodles are cooked, drain them thoroughly in a colander.

6. Rinse the noodles under cold running water, gently rubbing them with your hands. This process removes excess starch and improves their chewy texture.

For cold udon, consume it as soon as possible with your preferred dipping sauce.

For hot udon, prepare your preferred soup base and add the udon noodles. Heat the noodles until the soup comes to a boil.
